For many people, winning a big lottery prize is a distant dream.
Some give up after buying tickets for a while, realizing they’ve won nothing and are unwilling to invest more time and money in something with such low odds.

73-year-old Antonio Lopes Siqueira from Brazil, living with his family in Cuiabá, Mato Grosso state, was one such person.

Grandfather Siqueira and his wife usually made a living raising cattle, raising three children who are now adults, and have four grandchildren.

Aside from daily expenses, Grandfather Siqueira had a habit of regularly buying lottery tickets.
The lottery shop owner revealed that Siqueira would come almost every week to buy tickets, often joking that he would one day win the jackpot.
Grandfather Siqueira had a good attitude towards buying lottery tickets; he didn’t buy many each time, which is why he could keep going.
And then, luck struck, and he really won the big prize!
Just last month, Siqueira spent only 5 reais (about 6 RMB) on a Mega-Sena ticket.
Mega-Sena is one of the most famous types of lotteries in Brazil.
The simplest way to play is to choose 6 numbers from 01 to 60, and you need to match at least 4 to win a prize, with a full match earning the top prize.
Grandfather Siqueira didn’t seem to study the numbers, leaving the selection to the machine, which picked the numbers 13, 16, 33, 43, 46, and 55.
Under these circumstances, the odds of winning the jackpot were about 1 in 50 million.
Unexpectedly, in the Mega-Sena draw number 2795 held on November 9th, the numbers drawn were indeed 13, 16, 55, 43, 46, and 33.
Grandfather Siqueira won a whopping 201 million reais, approximately 240 million RMB.
This made him ecstatic; after a lifetime of hard work and years of buying lottery tickets, he never imagined he would win the jackpot in his old age, achieving financial freedom and fulfilling his life.
Grandfather Siqueira hadn’t decided how to use the money yet, only considering buying a new house.
After collecting his winnings, he decided to use part of the prize money for dental treatment, specifically for dental implants.

Life holds unexpected joys and unpredictable tragedies.
On the morning of December 4th, around 10:40 AM, while receiving treatment at a local dental clinic, Grandfather Siqueira suddenly suffered a cardiac arrest and passed away.
Medical personnel arrived at the scene to find Siqueira lying back in the dental chair, having been in cardiac arrest for over 30 minutes.
He was then rushed to Julio Muller University Hospital for emergency treatment but unfortunately passed away.

The police collected Siqueira’s medical records and surveillance footage from the dental clinic for analysis.
Siqueira had high blood pressure and diabetes and had been undergoing dental treatment for about a week.
The police speculate that perhaps Grandfather Siqueira was very excited and emotionally charged after winning the lottery.
“If Siqueira died suddenly from an illness, it might not be the responsibility of the dental clinic. We need to wait for the autopsy report to confirm the circumstances.”
The case is currently under further investigation.

Grandfather Siqueira bought lottery tickets every week, dreaming of the massive prize.
He never imagined that just 24 days after winning the jackpot, he would suddenly pass away.
A spokesperson from the lottery company, Yesser Dahrouge, expressed condolences over the incident.
“This is a sad story. He longed for this prize, and now his dream has come true, but he had no chance to enjoy it.”
