Ingredients:
- Shrimp Balls (or you can buy pre-made ones):
- 150g shrimp meat (finely chopped or minced)
- ½ egg white
- ½ tablespoon cooking wine
- 1 tablespoon cornstarch
- ¼ teaspoon salt
- A handful of grated carrots (optional)
- Soup Base:
- 1 egg (for the egg pancake)
- 1 tablespoon cooking oil
- 1 tablespoon chopped spring onions
- 500ml water (for the broth)
- A small handful of noodles (any type you prefer)
- 1 tablespoon crushed dried seaweed
- ½ tablespoon shrimp flakes
- 1/3 teaspoon salt
- ½ tablespoon light soy sauce
Instructions:
1、Prepare the Shrimp Balls:
If you’re making shrimp balls from scratch, chop the shrimp into a paste. In a bowl, mix the shrimp paste with egg white, cooking wine, cornstarch, and salt. Marinate the mixture for about 15 minutes. Add grated carrots if you’d like. Form the shrimp mixture into small balls, about the size of a walnut.
