Agios Ioannis Church, Greece – Mamma Mia!
On the picturesque island of Skopelos, the charming Agios Ioannis Church sits atop a towering rock formation, offering breathtaking views of the Aegean Sea. This scenic chapel played a starring role in the 2008 musical Mamma Mia! as the setting for the movie’s unforgettable wedding scene.
Legend has it that a fisherman discovered a glowing icon of Saint John on the rock, and despite repeated attempts to relocate it, the icon mysteriously reappeared at the same spot.
