5 years in the past, the earthquake destroyed and broken a whole lot of colleges throughout Albania.
The European Union Delegation in Tirana shared with the general public on this fifth anniversary of this tragic occasion the excellent news of rebuilding 59 fashionable colleges.
EU4Schools, funded by the European Union and applied by UNDP, has strengthened Albania’s schooling system by rebuilding 59 fashionable colleges to EU requirements in 11 of the municipalities most affected by the earthquake.
On February 17, 2020, the European Union organized in Brussels, the Worldwide Donors’ Convention “Collectively for Albania”, which aimed to help Albania in its rebuilding efforts after the devastating earthquake.
On this context, the “EU for Colleges” Program was born with a worth of 75 million euros funded by the EU and applied by UNDP in cooperation with the Albanian authorities. 25,000 college students, lecturers, and kids are the beneficiaries of this mission. (November 27)
