- Following a short conditioning stint Alex Nedeljkovic was recalled from Wilkes-Barre/Scranton of the American Hockey League on Saturday and can be a part of the Penguins on their upcoming street journey. The goalie, who began 12 of the ultimate 13 video games final season, has not performed within the NHL since sustaining a lower-body damage in a preseason recreation Sept. 30.
- Blomqvist, a 22-year-old rookie, performed for the fourth time in six video games Friday, making 35 saves in a 4-1 loss to the Carolina Hurricanes.
- Puustinen might make his season debut on Sunday. He skated on the third line in follow on Saturday, taking the place of O’Connor who moved as much as the second line with Malkin and Rakell. Ahead Michael Bunting skated as an additional on Saturday and appears to come back out of the lineup.
