Paris – Emmanuel Macron reacted Monday to the victory of the “sure” within the referendum on EU membership organized in Moldova, assuring this nation of France’s “assist” in fulfilling its “European future”.
“Disinformation maneuvers didn’t shake the willpower of the Moldovans, whose aspiration to hitch the European household proved stronger,” wrote the French president on X.
Outgoing president “Maia Sandu embodies it will. Moldova can rely on our assist to meet its European future,” he added, after this referendum narrowly received by the “sure” camp.
Ms. Sandu had denounced “interferences” within the vote, with Moscow within the sights.
The President of the European Fee, Ursula von der Leyen, welcomed the results of the vote.
