Skopje – Austrian MEP Thomas Waitz has been appointed as the brand new rapporteur of the European Parliament for North Macedonia.
Waitz comes from the Greens group within the EP and is a member of the Austrian Inexperienced Social gathering – The Greens – The Inexperienced Various (DG).
In February 2017, Waitz was nominated as a member of the European Inexperienced Social gathering Board and was elected to this place in March on the World Greens and European Greens Congress in Liverpool. On this place, he’s accountable, amongst different issues, for cooperation with Inexperienced events in Czechia, Slovenia, Poland, Hungary, and Albania and helps the event of inexperienced events in North Macedonia, Croatia, Montenegro, and Serbia. In June 2022, he was re-elected to the thirty fifth European Inexperienced Social gathering Council as its co-chair together with French Senator Mélanie Vogel from French Europe Ecology – The Greens.
