TOKYO (TR) – Tokyo Metropolitan Police have arrested an 18-year-old American vacationer who’s suspected in a sequence of arson instances in two wards within the capital.
On Thursday, police arrested the American male on suspicion of setting fireplace to a waste assortment container in Nihonbashi Kakigara-cho in Chuo Ward, studies Nippon Information Community (Oct. 23).
Upon his arrest on suspicion of arson, the suspect denied the allegations. “I’ve no reminiscence [of the matter],” he was quoted.
This week, seven fires of suspicious origin whereby rubbish have damaged out over a roughly round space of 2-kilometer radius in Chuo and Sumida wards. The primary blaze was early Monday.
The boy arrived in Japan along with his household. They’ve gone sightseeing to varied areas, together with Tokyo Disney Resort and the Akihabara purchasing space.
The household was scheduled to depart Japan for america on Wednesday.
Police are investigating whether or not the suspect was behind all seven fires of suspicious origin.
