YAMANASHI, Oct 31 (Information On Japan) –
A police officer in Kofu, Yamanashi, by chance fired her handgun into her personal hand on October twenty ninth whereas apprehending a person who was swinging a knife in public.
Round 9 p.m. on October twenty ninth within the Kokubo space of Kofu Metropolis, a feminine officer drew her handgun to intimidate a person who was brandishing a kitchen knife.
After restraining the person, the officer tried to return the handgun to her holster at her waist. Nevertheless, she mistakenly discharged the weapon into her left hand, leading to harm.
A male witness commented, “I heard a loud bang.”
The Yamanashi Prefectural Police said, “We’re totally investigating the trigger to forestall future incidents.”
