Greater than 650 college students will quickly be accommodated within the newly renovated dormitories in Scholar Metropolis in Tirana. The heads of the European Union delegation in Albania, Ambassador Silvio Gonzato, together with representatives from the German Embassy, KfW, and Albanian authorities, attended the inauguration of the 5 dormitories with modern requirements.

This initiative will make the dormitories 40% extra energy-efficient, decreasing CO₂ emissions by over 3,000 tons every year.

The venture “Power Environment friendly Rehabilitation of Scholar Dormitories of Public Universities in Albania,” financed by Germany and the EU via KfW together with Albania, contains the energy-efficient renovation of 19 scholar dormitories within the Metropolis of Scholar I campus in Tirana.
