Canmore conservationist Karsten Heuer, who was a biologist, park ranger, writer and activist, has died.
He simply turned 56 and had been recognized with A number of System Atrophy. He died peacefully with MAiD (Medical Help in Demise).
Born and raised in Calgary, Heuer spent each weekend along with his household mountain climbing and fishing within the mountains, which prompted him to fall in love with being open air.
