The morning after former U.S. President Donald Trump received final week’s presidential election, Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum sought to reassure her compatriots. “There’s no purpose for concern,” she informed the Mexican individuals. “We’re a free nation, impartial and sovereign, and we can have a superb relationship with america, I’m satisfied.”
The necessity for reassurance was apparent. When Trump begins his second time period in January, Mexico will stand squarely within the crosshairs of his agenda. The US’ neighbor to the south is bracing for Trump to enact among the proposals that drove his most up-to-date presidential marketing campaign.
The problem for Sheinbaum, who has held workplace for little greater than a month, is monumental. However it’s nowhere close to a misplaced trigger.
