Metropolis officers have introduced short-term lane closures on North DuSable Lake Shore Drive between Hollywood and Lawrence avenues from Sunday afternoon by means of Friday morning.
The closures are a part of a mission to resurface the highway between LaSalle Drive and Hollywood that started within the spring and was restarted Tuesday, Sept. 3. The Chicago Division of Transportation expects to finish roadwork by late October.
Work that started at 3 p.m. Sunday on northbound lanes between Hollywood and Lawrence and closed all entrance and exit ramps will reopen by 6 a.m. Monday.
