On Monday’s broadcast of the Fox Information Channel’s “America Experiences,” Harris-Walz Marketing campaign Surrogate Delaware Gov. John Carney (D) mentioned that Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-VT) “is correct” in his evaluation of 2024 Democratic presidential candidate Vice President Kamala Harris “when it comes to the evolution of a candidate who’s operating regionally or in a special context now, making an attempt, actually to get help from a really slender slice of the voters who haven’t determined who they’re going to help on this election.” And argued that Harris is “operating on the file of” President Joe Biden.
Co-host John Roberts performed video of Sanders saying, “I don’t assume she’s abandoning her beliefs. I believe she’s making an attempt to be pragmatic and doing what she thinks is correct in an effort to win the election. … Her views aren’t mine, however I do think about her a progressive.”
Roberts then requested if Harris will revert to supporting a ban on fracking if she’s elected.
Carney responded, “[Y]ou need to take Sen. Sanders for his phrase that she doesn’t stand for a number of the positions that he does, though he considers her a progressive, and I believe she — I’ll take her for her phrase that she helps permit[ing] fracking at present, though up to now, she mentioned one thing otherwise. I believe Sen. Sanders is correct when it comes to the evolution of a candidate who’s operating regionally or in a special context now, making an attempt, actually to get help from a really slender slice of the voters who haven’t determined who they’re going to help on this election. So, she has run — or is operating on the file of the President of the USA, and I consider that’s a profitable file.”
