Brussels (dpa) – The French candidate for the following European Fee and present EU Inner Market Commissioner Thierry Breton resigned in a shock transfer on Monday by posting a letter on social media platform X.
In his letter, Breton claimed that European Fee President Ursula von der Leyen requested France to appoint one other particular person in trade for “an allegedly extra influential portfolio for France” within the Fee.
