Whitehorse RCMP say a person from Phoenix, Ariz., is lacking after the truck he was travelling in went off a bridge and plunged into the Yukon River.
Police say the crash occurred on Monday morning when a pickup truck pulling a trailer missed the Lewes River Bridge, situated south of Whitehorse on the Alaska Freeway.
Police say the truck and the trailer, loaded with different automobiles, all stay submerged within the river.
Emergency crews arriving on the scene say there have been two males within the truck, each of whom are from Phoenix, Ariz.
Police say one occupant escaped from the wreck and was handled for his accidents, whereas a second man stays lacking.
Yukon RCMP say in an announcement that police are “planning restoration efforts” and the general public ought to keep away from the realm till additional discover.
