The tree has landed on its aspect over the River Foss, close to the junction of Huntington Street and Heworth Inexperienced.
York Rescue Boat stated it will likely be monitoring the situation as heavy rain is forecast for tomorrow (Monday, September 23), with a yellow climate warning issued by the Met Workplace.
“Our principal concern is there are climate alerts out for heavy rain over the following 24 hours and we’re conscious of how briskly the River Foss responds to heavy rain,” a York Rescue Boat spokesperson stated.
“It is usually on the upstream aspect of the bridge and can acquire a whole lot of particles probably inflicting river ranges upstream to be greater than regular.
“Our flood crew members will stay on name and out there to emergency companies in York if required.”
