KYOTO, Sep 25 (Information On Japan) –
A male gorilla at Kyoto Metropolis Zoo was photographed carrying plant vines draped over its head.
Viewers of the video commented on social media, with remarks like, ‘It’s a vine necklace!’ and ‘Perhaps he needed to decorate up?’ sparking a pattern, calling the gorilla ‘The Trendy Gorilla.’
This gorilla is known as Momotaro.
In one other video filmed on a distinct day, he was seen adjusting a hemp sack over his head. May this habits be an try at ‘trend’?
We spoke with a zookeeper for insights.
Kyoto Metropolis Zoo Zookeeper Yasui: “I’ve by no means actually considered it as him being trendy. I don’t suppose he’s serious about trend in any respect.”
Although this mysterious habits might not be fashion-driven, it has been noticed for at the least seven years.
In response to the zookeepers, it’s not simply Momotaro who reveals these actions. His sons exhibit comparable behaviors as nicely.
Kyoto Metropolis Zoo Zookeeper Yasui: “His sons Gentaro and Kintaro are at all times watching their father, Momotaro, carefully and sometimes mimic his actions. It’s doable that they’re copying what they’ve seen him do.”
