JERUSALEM (AFP) — The Israeli military stated Monday its forces “eradicated” Hamas’s chief in Lebanon within the newest strike focusing on senior members of Iranian-backed militant teams within the neighboring nation.
“In a single day … the IAF (air power) struck and eradicated the terrorist Fatah Sherif, head of the Lebanon department within the Hamas terrorist group,” the army stated in a press release.
Fatah Sharif Abu al-Amine “was liable for coordinating Hamas’ terror actions in Lebanon with Hezbollah operatives. He was additionally liable for Hamas’ efforts in Lebanon to recruit operatives and purchase weapons,” the assertion stated.
