Spot gold held its floor at $2,622.24 per ounce by 0020 GMT, after falling greater than 1 per cent within the earlier session.
Spot silver misplaced 0.2 per cent to $30.63 per ounce. Platinum rose 0.6 per cent to $955.90 and palladium fell 0.3 per cent to $1,018.78.
