Eric Brunner (Aggressive Edge) managed to interrupt the five-race profitable streak of Andrew Strohmeyer (CXD Trek Bikes) on the second day of racing on the Appeal Metropolis CX on Sunday. Scott Funston (Cervelo Orange Residing) was third.
Brunner and Strohmeyer traded blows on the entrance of the race, with the USCX Trek sequence chief taking a 20-second lead midrace. However Brunner fought his method again after which attacked, holding off Strohmeyer to take his first win of the season within the C2 race.
Funston completed simply behind Strohmeyer in third.
