An exit ballot following Sunday’s vote by broadcaster ORF confirmed Austria’s Freedom Get together main with 29.1% in comparison with 26.2% for Chancellor Karl Nehammer’s Austrian Individuals’s Get together and 20.4% for the centre-left Social Democrats.
Herbert Kickl, head of the Freedom Get together might battle to place collectively a governing coalition.
Forward of the vote, the Freedom Get together was narrowly main polls after a marketing campaign targeted on immigration, inflation and battle in Ukraine. The Freedom Get together chief has referred to as European Fee chief Ursula von
der Leyen a “warmonger” and opposes sanctions on Russia over its
invasion of Ukraine.
