Axolotls seem to age little or no over their lifetimes

Ever wished you might hit the pause button on ageing? No less than one creature could do exactly that. Axolotls appear to halt one of many hallmarks of the method half manner by means of their lives, a discovering that would shed new mild on ageing and regeneration.
Axolotls (Ambystoma mexicanum) belong to a gaggle of amphibians referred to as salamanders, that are famed for his or her astonishing powers of regeneration, reminiscent of regrowing amputated limbs. In addition they seem to age little or no, a characteristic referred to as negligible senescence.
