Some 120 North Korean employees from a garment manufacturing unit in Dandong, China, have been repatriated to North Korea on Sept. 30. The surprising deportation by Chinese language authorities has strained relations between Beijing and Pyongyang.
These repatriated included about 100 feminine employees who made clothes and one other dozen or so officers who managed them.
The North Korean employees obtained their deportation orders from authorities in China on Sept. 29 and all returned to North Korea the subsequent day, sources mentioned.
The incident was triggered by a feminine employee who disappeared from her office.
The lady wandered round Dandong after leaving her office in mid-September. Previous to the incident, she reportedly had issue speaking with co-workers and exhibited cognitive difficulties.
