China’s army wrapped up large-scale army drills round Taiwan late Monday, with the Protection Ministry in Beijing saying it could “by no means promise to surrender the usage of pressure” to take management of the democratic island.
The daylong workout routines, which came about within the Taiwan Strait and areas to the north, south and east of Taiwan and had been code-named Joint Sword-2024B, had been supposed to function “a stern warning” to “separatist” forces.
China views democratic Taiwan as its “core of core points” and regards the island as a renegade province that should be unified with the mainland, by pressure if obligatory.
