Chicago police opened a loss of life investigation after a 63-year-old man was pulled from the Chicago River Friday afternoon within the Loop.
About 1:20 p.m., a person was found unresponsive within the river within the 300 block of South Wacker Drive. He was pulled from the water and brought to Perception Hospital the place he was pronounced useless.
Detectives had been conducting a loss of life investigation pending post-mortem outcomes.
