Individuals in a images challenge for ladies of various nationalities say displaying their work offers them a way of pleasure and has helped them make new friendships.
Ladies of the World was run by the Hive group centre in Ipswich and led by skilled photographer Gillian Allard.
She labored with seven ladies, from Ukraine, Afghanistan and Tanzania, to discover inventive methods to specific their outlook of their new residence city in Suffolk.
Ms Allard mentioned: “It was for them to discover identification in a manner that is enjoyable and playful, so they may overlook about what is going on on on the skin and simply take pleasure in their time collectively.”
The themes the group explored embody resilience and power; empowerment and alter; cultural and identification; motherhood and household; and hope and pleasure.
Jackie Ellis, one of many Hive group employees, mentioned: “Via this exhibition we intention to honour the resilience, magnificence and power of ladies from all walks of life, showcasing their tales by way of the common language of images.”
The challenge was funded by Suffolk County Council.
The pictures are on show on the Hive on Norwich Highway, Ipswich.
