Kozo Iizuka, a former senior official convicted in a 2019 automobile crash in Ikebukuro, Tokyo, that killed two folks and injured 9 others, has died on the age of 93. Iizuka handed away in October, reportedly resulting from pure causes.
The crash occurred in April 2019 when a automobile pushed by Iizuka went uncontrolled, killing a mom and her younger daughter and inflicting accidents starting from minor to critical for 9 others. Iizuka was discovered responsible of negligence leading to loss of life and damage, as he was deemed to have mistaken the accelerator for the brake. Following his conviction, Iizuka was sentenced to 5 years in jail and had been serving his sentence.
Takuya Matsunaga, who misplaced his spouse and daughter within the incident, commented on X: “I prolong my heartfelt prayers for his repose.
