GWS gamers face potential AFL sanctions, with an investigation underway after an nameless grievance about an end-of-season operate.
The league and the Giants have confirmed they’re wanting into what occurred on the occasion final month, days after their season ended with the semifinal loss to premiers Brisbane.
“The AFL and GWS have been enterprise an investigation into the Giants gamers’ post-season occasion, which is in its last phases,” the league stated in a press release.
The AFL and the Giants haven’t confirmed what prompted the investigation, or what motion the league may take.
GWS launched a press release late on Tuesday, saying: “the Giants are conscious of an nameless allegation of inappropriate behaviour on the gamers’ end-of-season operate final month.
“The membership and its integrity unit have been working with the AFL’s integrity unit to research.”
GWS had a straight-set exit final month after ending fourth within the common season, blowing leads of their qualifying last towards Sydney and the house semifinal towards the Lions.
