SAO PAULO — NFL commissioner Roger Goodell stated Friday that he would love the league to have as many as 16 worldwide video games in a season.
“The possession’s permitted eight video games already,” Goodell stated earlier than the NFL’s first recreation in Brazil. “I hope to get that to 16 sooner or later sooner or later. Let’s examine how that goes.”
Goodell was interviewed on Peacock forward of the streaming service’s telecast of Friday evening’s matchup between the Inexperienced Bay Packers and Philadelphia Eagles, the primary NFL recreation in South America and one in all 5 worldwide matchups on the 2024 schedule.
That features three video games in London. Tottenham Hotspur Stadium will host a New York Jets-Minnesota Vikings recreation Oct. 6 and a Jacksonville Jaguars-Chicago Bears matchup Oct. 13. The Jaguars will face the New England Patriots at Wembley Stadium on Oct. 20.

The NFL is planning a recreation in Madrid in 2025, although the date and groups have not been introduced.
Homeowners voted in December to authorize the league to host eight video games internationally every season.
