The Rockford IceHogs have signed ahead Gerry Mayhew to an American Hockey League contract.
Mayhew skated in 68 video games for the AHL’s Charlotte Checkers final season, recording 19 objectives and 18 assists for 37 factors.
The eighth-year professional has performed a complete of 389 video games within the AHL with Charlotte, Lehigh Valley and Iowa, gathering 149 objectives and 126 assists for 275 factors. He was voted the AHL’s most respected participant in 2019-20, when he scored 39 objectives and totaled 61 factors in 49 video games for Iowa.
A local of Wyandotte, Mich., Mayhew has appeared in 57 NHL video games with Minnesota, Philadelphia and Anaheim, recording 13 objectives and two assists.
