Hurricane Helene is ravaging communities throughout the southeastern United States as mass flooding and brutal winds descend on Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina and Tennessee.
As of Saturday, the Class 4 storm had killed a minimum of 52 individuals, in response to the Related Press. Thousands and thousands extra have been left with out electrical energy and a few have been displaced from their houses, as timber get ripped from their roots and the torrent destroys individuals’s property.
Evacuations started earlier than the storm made landfall and have been ongoing within the days since.
President Joe Biden stated that he and Vice President Kamala Harris have been dedicated to deploying all sources needed to help the restoration.
“As we flip towards restoration efforts, we’ll make sure that no useful resource is spared to make sure that households, companies, faculties, hospitals, and whole communities can shortly start their highway to rebuilding,” he stated Saturday.
