A 54-year-old inmate on the Toronto South Detention Centre has been charged in reference to a lethal jail beating late final week that claimed the lifetime of a 69-year-old prisoner.
The incident occurred on Oct. 3 on the correctional facility at 160 Horner Ave., simply east of Kipling Avenue and south of the Gardiner Expressway, in south Etobicoke.
Police stated that the sufferer was injured and brought to hospital, however died the next day on Oct. 4.
He has been recognized as 69-year-old Euplio Cusano of Toronto. Cusano is town’s seventieth homicide sufferer of the 12 months.
On Sunday, Ivan Ademovic, 54, of Toronto, was charged with manslaughter. He’s scheduled to seem in court docket on Oct. 7.
