South Koreans who suffered injury from trash-filled balloons launched by North Korea will now be eligible for compensation.
The Nationwide Meeting on Thursday handed adjustments to the legal guidelines on civil protection to permit the victims of harm brought on by North Korea’s trash balloons to hunt compensation from the federal government.
Underneath the revised legal guidelines, the federal government can present partial or full compensation for individuals who suffered hurt to their well being or property on account of the North Korean balloons.
North Korea has been flying balloons carrying trash towards the South since Could. In some instances, falling particles from the balloons has triggered bodily damage and fires which have broken property.
The revised legal guidelines will take impact six months from now.
