Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has dismissed his widespread defence minister, Yoav Gallant, in a shock announcement.
Netanyahu and Gallant have repeatedly been at odds all through the battle in Gaza. However Netanyahu had prevented firing his rival.
A earlier try to fireplace Gallant in March 2023 sparked widespread road protests towards Netanyahu.
The prime minister introduced his determination late Tuesday.
