Japan and Italy have signed a deal that can permit their respective armed forces to share gasoline, meals and companies, a transfer supposed to facilitate better bilateral and multilateral navy actions over the approaching years as Rome and Tokyo take steps to deepen protection and safety cooperation.
Overseas Minister Takeshi Iwaya and Italian Protection Minister Guido Crosetto signed the Acquisition and Cross-Servicing Settlement (ACSA) in Rome on Monday on the sidelines of a Group of Seven international ministers summit.
The transfer, which will even allow better interoperability and the speedy mobilization of help in case of emergencies and pure disasters, marks the profitable conclusion of negotiations that started in June.
