A Chinese language army plane was confirmed for the primary time to have violated Japanese territorial airspace on Monday morning, the Protection Ministry in Tokyo stated, with Japan strongly protesting the transfer.
The Protection Ministry stated one of many Chinese language army’s Y-9 intelligence-gathering planes had briefly entered Japanese territory close to the Danjo Islands off Nagasaki Prefecture from round 11:29 a.m. to 11:31 a.m., prompting the Air Self-Protection Power to scramble fighter jets in response.
The ministry stated the fighters had taken steps corresponding to “issuing warnings,” whereas NHK reported that no weapons or flares had been fired.
