Korea and Britain kicked off the third spherical of negotiations Monday to improve their bilateral free commerce settlement (FTA) in response to altering international commerce and enterprise circumstances, the commerce ministry stated.
The negotiations started in Seoul for a four-day session, with the 2 nations aiming to speed up discussions in sectors corresponding to companies, provide chains, digital commerce and biotechnology, in keeping with the Ministry of Commerce, Trade and Vitality.
“Britain is our key companion and an financial ally in rising sectors corresponding to cutting-edge industries and power,” Kwon Hye-jin, Korea’s chief negotiator, stated in an announcement.
The 2 nations signed the FTA in August 2019 and the pact took impact in January 2021, following Britain’s departure from the European Union.
