Brussels – The European commissioner designated by Portugal, Maria Luís Albuquerque, was confirmed for the portfolio of Monetary Providers and the Union of Financial savings and Investments by the European Parliament, after three hours of listening to promoted by the parliamentary committee on Financial and Financial Affairs, along with the committees on the Inner Market and Client Safety and Civil Liberties, Justice and Residence Affairs.
At 57, the previous Portuguese authorities official is one in all 11 girls amongst 27 names (a quota of 40% for girls and 60% for males) of the following group government of Ursula Von der Leyen, now topic to parliamentary endorsement, whose primary mission is group financial competitiveness.
