As England ready for the primary match of their three-Check collection in Pakistan, they have been confronted with a well-known conundrum.
Whereas Ben Stokes had stated he was “on observe” to be match for the collection opener in Multan after recovering from the hamstring tear he sustained in August, he was dominated out on Saturday.
If Stokes had been match to bowl then they’d the choice of taking part in 4 quicks and a spinner or three quicks and two spinners. That will have given them a well-balanced aspect. But when he had solely performed as a batter, they’d have had a troublesome choice to make.
