The Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins have signed ahead Boris Katchouk to an American Hockey League contract for the 2024-25 season.
Katchouk enters his seventh professional season after spending the final three years primarily within the Nationwide Hockey League with Tampa Bay, Chicago and Ottawa. He had attended coaching camp this fall on a tryout with the Anaheim Geese.
Final season, Katchouk collected seven targets and 6 assists in 59 video games between the Blackhawks and Senators, in addition to three targets and two assists in six AHL contests with the Rockford IceHogs.
A second-round alternative by the Lightning within the 2016 NHL Draft, Katchouk has totaled 15 targets and 21 assists in 176 profession NHL video games.
The native of Waterloo, Ont., has skated in 173 video games within the AHL with Rockford and Syracuse, registering 39 targets and 56 assists for 95 factors. In his final full-time AHL motion, he recorded 34 factors and a plus-17 score in simply 29 video games through the abbreviated 2020-21 season.
