Pink kites and buzzards are being killed by misuse of rat poisons

Raptors throughout England are being killed by the widespread misuse of rat poisons and the issue is getting worse, despite a UK authorities prevention scheme, based on a report from Wild Justice, a not-for-profit environmental group.

“The diploma of hurt that the misuse of rodenticides is inflicting to our wildlife is extremely worrying,” says broadcaster Chris Packham, co-director of Wild Justice. “The voluntary code of follow is completely ineffective – it’s simply not working.”
