Selection Accommodations Worldwide has put in three beehives at its company headquarters in North Bethesda, Maryland, in collaboration with Bee Downtown in its effort to advertise sustainability and native biodiversity.
The estimated 150,000 honeybees have the potential to positively impression 18,000 acres of surrounding land, in accordance with a press launch. A colony can produce over 100 kilos of honey in only a matter of months.
Selection associates had the chance to vote on the design ideas for the beehives and chosen a “Bee Resort” design idea.
The collaboration with Bee Downtown underscores Selection Accommodations’ dedication to environmental stewardship, biodiversity and engagement, that are key parts of its Room to Be Inexperienced program. Room to Be Inexperienced focuses on 5 pillars — power, water, waste, biodiversity and engagement — to advance sustainability throughout all Selection Accommodations manufacturers and segments worldwide.
