The Copernicus Sentinel-2C satellite tv for pc lifted off on 5 September at 03:50 CEST (4 September 22:50 native time) aboard the final Vega rocket, flight VV24, from Europe’s Spaceport in French Guiana.
Sentinel-2C will proceed the legacy of delivering high-resolution information which are important to Copernicus – the Earth commentary part of the EU Area Programme. Developed, constructed and operated by ESA, the Copernicus Sentinel-2 mission supplies high-resolution optical imagery for a variety of purposes together with land, water and atmospheric monitoring.
Sentinel-2C was the final liftoff for the Vega rocket – after 12 years of service this was the ultimate flight, the unique Vega is being retired to make method for an upgraded Vega-C.
