Shinsegae Group mentioned Thursday it has partnered with U.S. media group Paramount International to construct a large-scale theme park in Korea.
Shinsegae and Paramount International plan to construct the Hwaseong Worldwide Theme Park in Hwaseong, 45 kilometers south of Seoul, which can accommodate leisure services, lodges, resorts, and condominium complexes, the group mentioned in an announcement.
Shinsegae mentioned it can get hold of approval for the development of the “Star Bay Metropolis” venture from the Gyeonggi provincial authorities, with an purpose to open the 4.2 million-square-meter theme park in 2029.
Paramount International, which owns CBS, cable channel MTV, and film studio Paramount Photos within the U.S., will take part within the planning of the theme park, the assertion mentioned. (Yonhap)
