Tokyo Skytree has began a pilot challenge for a ‘Actual-Time Translator’ that may show as much as 100 languages.
With the Christmas market open and the weekend drawing crowds, the Skytree is bustling with folks. At present, about 40% of Skytree’s guests are overseas vacationers, a lot of whom come from non-English-speaking international locations, making multilingual service a key problem.
The experimental machine being launched on the ticket counter from November eleventh is known as the “VUEVO Show.” It might translate as much as 100 languages and show subtitles on display in real-time.
Vacationer from Peru: “It is so cool. The translations have been very quick and correct.”
