A decade after launching on El Camino Actual in Sunnyvale, the Starbird group of premium fast-casual hen eating places has opened its first Palo Alto location — additionally on El Camino Actual.
Starbird’s idea was developed by the innovators at Culinary Edge, who began experimenting with hen after deciding there have been too many burger gamers within the market. The end result was a recent, antibiotic-free chook that’s marinated in a signature brine earlier than being fried in rice bran oil, which co-founder Aaron Noveshen says offers it a lighter style and higher crunch.
The signature Starbird 2.0 sandwich is topped with rainbow slaw and avocado. Different sandwiches embody the Seoul Star, with a Korean sauce, candy soy glaze and veggies, and the Nashville HotBird, with a Greek yogurt ranch dressing and dill pickles.
The total lineup options half a dozen salads — together with an Elote Chop Salad, Miso Caesar, Inexperienced Goddess Cobb — plus hen tenders, nuggets and wings, all served with housemade sauces and dressings.
