Talking after the Italian Grand Prix, the place Charles Leclerc overcame Lando Norris and Oscar Piastri to attain his and Ferrari’s first victory since Monaco, Stella provided a philosophical response to questions on McLaren lacking a chance.
“I need to capitalise extra on the competitiveness of the automotive,” replied the Workforce Principal. “By way of the race, I believe there could also be a misunderstanding that the McLaren was by far the quickest automotive.

“I believe Leclerc was as quick because the McLaren, as quick as Oscar within the first stint. Even within the second stint, he was behind the 2 McLarens and he may stick with the 2 McLarens.
“I believe Ferrari this weekend have been as aggressive as us, no less than with Leclerc, which for us is dangerous information. It meant we couldn’t merely cruise within the race, we wanted to cope with them, and so they did an excellent job exploiting a few of the distinction.”
