Supercars drivers will vie for the championship title in an elimination finals collection in one of many largest shake-ups to the class’s format in years.
The change is a part of a big growth to the calendar in 2025, with 10 extra races boosting the roster to 34 races throughout 13 rounds.
The addition of the finals collection will hold followers engaged till the final lap, stated Supercars chief govt Shane Howard.
“Our followers wished extra pleasure, extra unpredictability, and a real take a look at to seek out the very best champion,” he stated.

The season can be break up into three phases, with eight rounds of sprints to kick it off, earlier than endurance races at The Bend in South Australia and the centrepiece Bathurst 1000, and ending with the elimination collection to determine the title.
Finals can be held throughout the final three rounds of the season on the Gold Coast, Melbourne’s Sandown and Adelaide.
Seven-time champion and Triple Eight group boss Jamie Whincup says the change was essential to maintain the game related.
