Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, introduced his endorsement of Sen. Rick Scott, R-Fla., on Wednesday morning forward of the 9:30 a.m. management elections.
“This morning, I’ll be voting for Rick Scott for GOP Chief, as I did two years in the past. In 2022, I helped lead the cost for Rick in opposition to McConnell & I’m proud to face with him once more.
“For 12 yrs, I’ve been unequivocal that we have to change GOP Management—and now we lastly will,” he wrote on X.
The final minute endorsement comes as a blow to Sen. John Cornyn, R-Texas, who’s from Cruz’s house state and likewise working for chief.

Thune has the assist of Rounds, Sens. Kevin Cramer, R-N.D., John Hoeven, R-N.D., and Steve Daines, R-Mont.
